On July 29th, 2022, His Royal Majesty the King ordered a nation wide constitutional referendum to take place. Ballots were sent to all citizens and votes were casted. The results were announced on July 31st, 2022. A total of 7 people voted out of which 6 voted in favour, 1 opposed and 0 voted abstain.
Today August 1st 2022, The King announced the promulgation of the new constitution.
The latest constitution is longer and much more comprehensive. The preamble of the constitution has been modified to add another paragraph to it. Separate provisions are made for citizenship, Finance, Property, Contracts and Suits. More Fundamental rights are given to citizens. The judiciary is also mentioned in the new constitution. Trade, commerce and intercourse throughout the territory of Realeza is made free. Provisions are also made for Financial and defence etc. emergencies.
Apart from all of this, Realeza's political has also been changed to an Absolute monarchy from a Constitutional Monarchy. This is confirmed by Article 48 and various other articles which guarantee absolute power to the king. The change comes after repeated dissolutions and failures of elected governments. Democracy might be restored in the future once enough citizens are recruited. Moreover, the constitution day is also shifted to August 1st.
